Do I need an account?

No. The companion client runs locally without sign-up; the only account is on dreemdex.com if you want to receive profile updates pushed from us.

What if Dreemdex disappears?

The companion is a small Slint binary that talks to the device over USB-HID. Your ProfileSpec JSON keeps working forever. We can't brick the device by going under — that's the whole point.

Can I pay in crypto?

Accepted Answer

Yes. NOWPayments settles in BTC/ETH/USDT/USDC and others. We accept crypto specifically because Stripe blocks some legitimate sellers and we want everyone to be able to buy hardware.

Does it work with Stream Deck profiles?

Not directly — Elgato's profile format is proprietary. But every Stream Deck action (OpenUrl, Keystroke, MediaKey) has a Dreemdex equivalent, and our import surface accepts plain JSON so converting is straightforward.

What OS support?

macOS 12+, Windows 10+, Linux (HID-capable distro). Each platform has a native installer; no Electron, no auto-updating cloud sync.
